2027–2028 OPEN ENROLLMENT

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Open Enrollment Applications are now being accepted for the 2027–2028 school year.

APPLY FOR THE 2027–2028 SCHOOL YEAR

Families interested in having their child attend Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School for the 2027–2028 school year must submit a Registration Inquiry through our Avela enrollment portal.

Open Enrollment Period: October 1, 2026-October 31, 2026

Kindergarten Applicants: Your child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2027 to apply for Kindergarten.

LINCOLN'S ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Submitting a Registration Inquiry does not guarantee admission to Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School.

The number of available seats may vary by grade. If the number of eligible applicants for a grade exceeds the number of available seats, we will conduct a random lottery to determine admission and waiting-list placement.

The Enrollment Team will notify families if their child is selected for an available seat.

ADMISSIONS PREFERENCES

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School follows Pennsylvania Charter School Law regarding admissions and enrollment preferences.

First preference is given to eligible students who have a sibling currently enrolled at Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School.

Where applicable under Lincoln's enrollment procedures and Pennsylvania law, additional admissions preferences may apply to:

• Eligible applicants who submit their application during the designated Open Enrollment period by October 31, 2026 receive second preference

Admissions preferences do not guarantee enrollment when the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of available seats.

LOTTERY PROCESS

If there are more eligible applicants than available seats for a particular grade, Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School will conduct a random computerized lottery.

For example, if a grade has 10 available seats and 20 eligible students apply, the lottery will randomly determine the order of applicants. Students selected for the available seats will be offered admission. Remaining students will be placed on a waiting list according to the lottery results and applicable admissions preferences.

If an offered seat becomes available because a family declines enrollment, moves, or does not complete the required enrollment process, the next eligible student on the waiting list may be contacted.

SIBLING PREFERENCE

Families claiming sibling preference may be required to provide documentation verifying the sibling relationship before the preference is approved.

Lincoln may request documentation such as a birth certificate, adoption documentation, foster-care documentation, or other appropriate records necessary to verify eligibility for the preference.

STUDENTS RESIDING OUTSIDE OF THE ALLENTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT

Students residing outside of the Allentown School District may apply to Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School.

Pennsylvania Charter School Law provides first enrollment preference to students residing within the district in which the charter school is located. Out-of-district students may be offered admission when space is available after applicable enrollment preferences have been considered.

If applications exceed available seats, the applicable lottery and waiting-list procedures will be followed.

STUDENT-ATHLETES

Student-athletes may apply to Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School through the same admissions process as all other students.

Athletic ability is not considered when determining admission to Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School.

Once enrolled, student-athletes are subject to applicable PIAA eligibility and transfer requirements.

Parents and guardians should direct enrollment questions to the Enrollment Team, rather than coaches or athletic staff.

A Registration Inquiry is an application for admission and does not guarantee that a seat will be available.

Please make sure all information submitted in your application is complete and accurate. Families should monitor the email address and telephone number provided on the application for important enrollment communications.

Applications submitted during Open Enrollment must be received by October 31, 2026 to receive consideration through the Open Enrollment process.
